your summer day pale blue
denim shirt
is still in use
so soft and sweetly well-worn
as the dawn chorus
inside the cool denim
against your warm heart
you'll hold a sleeping baby
comfortably
you're Hercules
in the sky when night falls
you'll spread your denim shirt
across the wide expanse
a peaceful shield
with holes for stars

airborne
in your airborne heart
you've taken to wearing
the night sky like a fishing net
rolling between the heavens
stars sticking like a silvery catch
to the silk chiffon
but down to earth
walking in the streets in the daytime
one out of millions
you've taken to tying the night sky
as a chiffon sarong over your jeans
it's a planet earth style
