something spiritual but red
between crimson cranberry claret
you've been dreaming this sweater
repeatedly
in the dream you're little
but growing steadily
a wild flower on its stem
always embodied in
a new version of the sweater
red as lacquer but more like love
fat wool embroidered
with stylized free flowers
like mallow or milkwort
greetings from summer
when the snow falls
sometimes you have mittens too
lovingly provided by someone
protecting you year after year
when you were little
you miss the clear integrity
the crisp ribbed edges
someone caring for you
year after year
but you can see yourself
in the future also
spiritual physical visible
in your red sweater
giving yourself loving care
and protection
you can see yourself
in your red sweater
walking with a cheerful crowd
in the future
you know you can give yourself
loving care and protection

Welcome to my poetry site. I write about identity, colours, visualization, energy clothes, fantasy clothes, real clothes ... My poetry is made with inspiration from quartz crystals. My Artist's Tool Poems are stories about creativity and creative recovery. They tell about individuals meeting their inner creative identity, or mystical twin. I hope you'll get inspired ... full circle
your silk shirt in buoyant hues
of aubergine and rose
patterned in sections with a print
of all nature's seasons
it's the shirt of creativity in depth
small seeds like incubator babes
sunny shoots like shooting stars
leaves in rows forming foliage
prickly snow dots in an empty sky
it's the shirt of creativity in height
the shirt is for wearing
on special occasions
or else it's for meditating
on life and work
in winter you love the leaves best
in summer you need to remember
dots in an empty sky
it's the shirt of the full circle
it makes you love the fabric of life
and feel at home on earth

midnight
you can't lose your teen simplicity
your plain knit cotton sweater
its colour the scent of violets
and ink blue midnight
rows and rows of childhood days
sleeves reaching for all things glittering
growing longer for the stars
in the deep blue sky of midnight
the cool warm feel of your collarbone
free in the scooped bateau
sailing on the deep dark ink blue
sea of midnight
your plain knit cotton sweater
you're slipping it over your head
smoothing your arms
in the deep blue ink of midnight

Clothes on the outside and the inside
Since the autumn of 2014 I've been working on a new type of poems, 'clothes imagery'. There are, of course, lots of clothes in my earlier poems. But the starting point of a 'clothes imagery' poem is clothes. Often physical, my own or other people's clothes, or something seen in a shop, a book or on the web.
The poem 'Brave heart', for instance, was inspired by a photo of a knit top, created by Danish knit artist Iben Høj.
Swedish designer Gudrun Sjöden is a great inspiration with her colourful global style mix. I'm wearing the clothes and writing about them!
But my poetry clothes will just as well be fantasy clothes, or hybrids of fantasy and reality. In any case, the clothes will express an identity or form of energy.
The new poems may not differ much from the earlier ones. But hopefully my visualizing skills will improve ...
