standing by the tree

at summer’s beginning

you’re resting on a cool bed

by an open window

outside is your upright flowering

horse chestnut tree

with rose pink blossom candles

feeling fragile

you’re seeking comfort

on the inside of your eyelids

imagining

you going out

swathed in a rose pink cotton kanga

a large rectangle of floral fabric

adorned with sun yellow borders

the exact colour of the inner blossom

standing by the tree you perceive

now is the healing season

the verdant force of Mother Earth

coming in the shape of a heart

pointing upwards

clear green like clean

magic water

a friendly force

just being there

for you to drink with your body

clear green like clean

magic air

a heart-shaped pool

flowering upwards

seeking your body like a lover

filling your empty feelings

reviving the green world

but humans may also tune in

absorbing the verdant force

through their abdomen

or the soles of their feet

just being there

not outgoing but welcoming
