hoping to melt the tension

in your mind and muscles

thinking of people and trees

as if hoping for a gift from the universe

your mystical twin

she says thought you never came to see me

her cardigan is made of sunlit windows

where green shades of leaves are moving

her lace skirt so sun-brilliant

it’s throwing citric yellow sparks

her clean sneakers

have grass growing out of soles

like she’s forever on a walk in the park

she says the best place for a healthy home

is near a vigorous tree

where the tree can feel your heartbeat

sometimes the tree will emit a stream

of loving green flowing

underneath your feet

but the tree has to be directly opposite

a portal that must be open

for the tree and the residents to benefit
