the chiffon of youth
the sand of sleep is giving
there’s a bright distant sound
you’re sinking
imagining
a horizontal rainbow on the beach
you running along the sections of colour
and in the room of orange-red
is your turquoise chiffon of youth
to retrieve it you need to walk through
so you do
there’s a vibrant sound soaring
it’s turquoise in the sky above
the fiery red rowan
waking at 2 a.m.
